Rainbow's kiss

If I could save you from the dark

protect you from harm

hold away the pain, with a word or phrase

I'd scream out again and again until the world obeys

If I could slow your tears, dam the stream

ease your fears, block bad dreams

if my words could erase, all the bad days

I'd write them down forever, unfazed

If I could cease the hurt

show how much you are worth

make you smile and laugh, though inside it aches

I would find a way, I'd do whatever it takes

Because that smile is like a rainbow's kiss

it makes the world feel blessed with bliss

with the brightness of a summer sun

and the hope of a life, never outshone
