Hell

Climbed out of hell
fiery pits never fit me well
the heat went straight to my head
blistered skin, left feeling worse than dead

Gas mark 10,000 and rising
started clambering, climbing
away from the pit of flame
the burning acid rain

Took myself to the brink
pushed my luck, another drink?
on the edge of a lake of lava
almost toppled over

Away from the sulphur smell
walked right out of the gates of hell
from those chains that burn into flesh
to begin again, my life afresh

Thanks for reading,
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
