Mirrors

Mirrors

reflecting

distorted skin - pulled taught

mirrors

that Report

the stories they see

in flipped imagery

on walls

visions

watching me

A face

I don't recognise

looking at me

traced

through bloodshot eyes

to summarise

a disguise

frailty in the lines

shown in reflective lies

in shimmery imagery

through distorted minds

This body I despise

disposed thoughts

hopes left to fly

age worn into saddened eyes

windows to crawl inside

mirrors reflect from the other side

the smile I wear

is it a pose painted on to hide woes?

or a trick of the light

how Is it possible that even I can't know?

how I really look to outside spies

Reading lines that are not there

strands and threads that don't appear

between what we say and what we see

imagination paints a reflection

a wide-open sea

shimmery

mind symmetry

lines sketchy and stretched

etched storylines that only shine

for beauty bathed in moonlight

in its reflective glazed over eyes

the mirror only ever lies

Thanks For Reading,

Peace, Love & Poetry

Kyle.
