Dust from Jupiter

Dust from Jupiter,

specks from crystal skies.

Planets of pure ice,

diamond mountains rise.

This blue green world of ours

sees such wonder,

but if we wander into the space beyond

what will we be shown?

Will our collective mind get blown?

Rainbow snowfalls, a blizzard of colour,

a spectrum of ice,

covering the whole planet over.

Dancing under a trio of spotlights,

3 moons telling us that its midnight.

Whilst rain showers

in silver glitter powder.

We dance ever closer

under this alien water.

The universe alive,

like synapses firing

and neuron clusters conspiring.

Billions of light years across

and us.

Just a raindrop ripple

in an ever-expanding ocean.

Surrounded by clouds of cosmic dust.

There is a universe out there.

But many galaxies within.

Complicated beings

underneath this taught skin.

For though we are but a speck in time.

Just a grain of sand on a enormous beach.

Our minds create something truly unique,

like stars twinkling, our thoughts sparkle.

It keeps life interesting

as through space we hurtle.
