Now you are gone,
a heavy rain is gonna fall.
I no longer hear the angel’s call,
just the thunder of demons squawking.
Like a fox on the hunt
as darkness comes crawling.
Now you are gone,
a heavy rain is gonna fall.
I don't know who to call,
When the monsters surge into my head
when their feet stamp over good thoughts
leaving them for dead.
I'll miss you here,
now and forever more.
Now you are gone,
a heavy rain will come.
It will wash away all the good we've done.
It will march like an army through the storm,
a swarm of bees in an angry flurry
and if I don't hurry
I'll forget it all.
Every moment that meant anything to me
gone in the flood.
Now you are gone,
a heavy rain is gonna show.
Sweep us away on tidal flows.
No longer see the sun
rise or set with clear eyes.
Just a blur of red
behind the murky depths
and if I don't grab hold of lifelines,
I'll drown beneath the frozen waves
and forget all of those sunny days.
