Angels should never
have their silver wings clipped,
sparkling feathers pruned.
They should never fear
the rusty scissors sent to shear.
I’ll be here to hold you close,
to administer a daily dose of love
to help those wings soar high above.
Just lay back.
Let the pleasure waves take you,
all those sores and aches
held dreamily by the sea.
The flood of love of flowing over you
as you prepare
to embark upon your journey.
Angels should never fear darkness,
because the glare of light from those
dazzling wings shouldn’t ever be dulled.
But if anyone pulls a single feather from you,
I’ll be here to repair
and aid your recovery.
So just lay back,
let the blinding light do its work,
showing you islands in the sea,
snow topped mountain peaks,
the capsizing waves crystallised
become particles in the flowing breeze.
Clouds. The most glorious sounds
and all the love that abides
here in this heart of mine
