Midnight light

Drifting by the midnight light
under the dark cold skies
stars, glittery, shine bright
such a wondrous night

Wandering the grand expanse
feet moving in stuttered dance
under our lonely moon
if we had two, would sing an harmonious tune

Upwards on this hill of life
a long grind, can cut like a knife
but the views are so nice
a landscape worth the admission price

Alone, drinking in the beautiful show
a glimpse at the world in flow
the picture always shifting
the scene, a vision, a dream, so uplifting
