That night, under a sky alight with a billion fires
we danced, until the sun rose, floating inspired
a life away, looking upon a distant star
you held me and we let go of our scars

The music, the sounds of night fuelled the show
the tunes gave us a chance to grow
a life away, inspired by those twinkling sights
to let go of the past and go forward hitting the heights

Those feelings, emotion told in the look of the eyes
never left the room, never skipped a beat, no goodbyes
a life away, where the stars are ours
to walk hand in hand, to always share hearts

Watched as you left, heavy pain in my chest
the moments shared, ours to forever dream of at best
a life away, pulled the stars from the sky
held them deep in my heart, yours if the darkness makes you cry
