This river deep, if I dive in where will the current take me
will it drop me at your feet, where my soul is free
or to a land far away, adrift in unknown parts
where some life could touch my heart
These waters carry, through turbulent tides and stormy seas
where the darkest thoughts flow over me
to a place where comfort sits, with sun kissed crests
high atop the hill I climbed, to learn to live my best
But it is lonely true, with only me not you
two seats but one stands empty just observing the view
maybe in time you will join, or another will meet
to sit atop this peak and take the second seat
