Threw my demons down, after one too many fights
kicked them through the door
scaly, red skin glistening under beaming streetlights
kicked them through the door
scaly, red skin glistening under beaming streetlights
with forked tongues, I listen to them no more
Their evil lies within, their piercing bloodshot eyes
like mine before I cast them out, pushed them to the floor
the sulphur smell lingers, when stress starts to paralyse
gone but never forgotten, though I miss them no more
The hiss as they speak, follows you into sleep
the noises, shrill voices, the devious games, they bore
corrupting dreams, only ever trick, they never treat
now banished to their pits, I hear what they say no more
Their evil lies within, their piercing bloodshot eyes
like mine before I cast them out, pushed them to the floor
the sulphur smell lingers, when stress starts to paralyse
gone but never forgotten, though I miss them no more
The hiss as they speak, follows you into sleep
the noises, shrill voices, the devious games, they bore
corrupting dreams, only ever trick, they never treat
now banished to their pits, I hear what they say no more
Thanks for reading,
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
