Game of chance

Death knows my name, we played a game
loneliness my prize, brandished to my skin in burning flame
poured bad thoughts into my head
made me hate my reflection and the life I'd lead

Death has me on speed dial, he phones every once in a while
to remind me of that fire filled trial
his voice chills the bones, fills you with doubt
creeps through your mind, makes you freak out

Death has my address, he came over to distress
made me obsess about the life I possess
His gaunt shadowy smile, made me run for miles
yet still he stood near, I'm always top of his files

Death walks in my shadow, he lurks in the dark
he gave back my life but tore away my heart
the price paid for a game of chance
death holds all the cards, so may as well just enjoy the dance

Thanks For Reading
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
