Winter

Winter chills, it's fear distilled
I cant feel fulfilled
here in this maddening town
I want to run for the hills

Icy fingers of death
touching your neck
when the cold beats down
Winter steals your breath

Footprints in shallow snow
our hearts let go
where once we met
now we don't show

Winter blizzards, freezing rivers
ice cold looks are all they give us
lost on dark nights
our hearts only shiver
as this coldness is what winter delivers
