I wish I had
a close-proximity
alarm system on life,
like in a car
reversing blind,
so, I can blend
into the shadows
when it beeps
saying people are around.
Don't get me wrong,
human contact is fine.
In fact, at times, it is divine,
but sometimes I'm too
crowded in my own mind,
that even another voice speaking
is like a theatre hall
all shouting down at you.
I wish I had a sensor
detecting when I'm
going to be in contact.
So that I can make sure
everything is fully vetted,
checked against my records,
not wanted in 5 countries
for crimes of neglect.
Again, I'm not anti-social,
I love people, but I can only juggle
a couple before my mind
starts to crumple.
My batteries run on full power
burning out so fast,
that I become flat.
Even though
barely any time has passed.
