Black and White Rainbows

Under Grey clouds, rainbows of black and white

the words left unsaid, my fright takes flight

I love you, I want you, I need you

float high in the void, the colourless sky, words so true

Under cold steel skylines, down in the greying dirt

the sentences never let out, could cause too much hurt

I admire your ways I am empty without you to enjoy the ride

just travelling this road wishing you were by my side

Under the dark sun, the colours have all run

like my words blurred into a murky hue with no fun

within me words try to fight free

I love you, cant let that be

I want you, no those just wont do

not just a lusty view

I need you, although true the words don't sound right

I ignore the feelings, give my tongue a bite

Let the words simmer, like a stew of misguided feelings

flavours begin to mix, create words I hear when dreaming

you are the heart of the stars, you make the world fine

you are the sky to me, like the sun that shines
