The ship set sail, I missed my place
never boarded, turned away at the gate
it left the coast behind, to travel so far
away from these shores, towards the northern star
The boat took float, into the sun
never to see you again, the end of our run
you waved away my heart
as the waves tore it apart
Sailed away, on a sullen sea
the sunken feeling knocked me to my knees
on a distant trip, to never return
so farewell my love, my heart did churn
