You made this soul dance, but made me hate myself too
heart skipped beats, but the sowed seeds of doubt grew
made me want to live, but made my life a living hell
said I was free whilst rattling the key to my cell
Led me along the garden path, lined with flowers
to hide the stench of death, to cover the air that sours
the slow rotting corpse of a love left to die
left to decompose, under the baking midday sky
Took me by the hand, told me I was your man
tore out my heart, replaced with a time bomb ticking down
explosive blast to my chest, shattered my love, scattered my dreams
left with just a pile of ashes, resentment, hate and angry screams
Hid me out of view, never let me grow or bloom
away from the nourishing sunshine, not allowed to leave my room
wasn't allowed to be seen, I was only allowed to follow your lead
until I broke the chains and escaped into the world freed
Thanks For Reading,
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
