The moon has seen my deepest scars
rivers carved through the rocks of my heart
it has illuminated the deepest oceans
lit my darkest parts, stirred a whirlpool through
my emotions
The moon saw through the mask I wore
it has seen me down on the floor
heartbroken - couldn’t cry no more
reflected hope on hurt filled screams
let me cry in a field of dreams
The moon has seen me near to death
she exhaled an unearthly song, to give me another breath
watched over as I was haunted by illusionary phantoms of my
vision
the delusional world where nightmares and reality are in collision
The moon was there when the world seemed empty
a constant companion, when it seemed all had left me
a friend, she is there in times of need
she listened to me plead, heard me scream
gave me back a heart with love flowing through the
bloodstream
The moon; her hands of light point out the path
obscured by the overflowing grass and wreckage
of the storm’s aftermath
the moon has bathed me, held me in a warm embrace
she saved me
when I lie on sheets at night
her light strokes my skin and tells me that the world will
be alright
telling me not to fear the monsters creeping in the darkness
out of sight
The moon has given me reason to shout, to howl, let my voice
sing out
rather than sit, in a darkened tomb
hiding my thoughts in boxes no one can open or talk about
the moon cuts the darkness in two, tears through the gloom
I offer my heart to the moon
she makes life feel right
I give her my days
and she hands me the night
Thanks For Reading.
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
