Would You?

But would you offer me your heart
would you take my hand
would you dive down to the darkness I hold and tear it apart
would you be my dry land safety island

Would you really?

Be there when the days are falling around us
would you be able to wipe away the tears
that crawl from distant lives through my misty eyes, would you accept this
would you be able to keep calm when my head is spinning through all of its gears

Would you really?

Be able to see the silver linings through the misty blue
the hints that sit in grey skies - would you let me fly
or would you pull me down, to the ground where I feel untrue
would you let me cry, if I needed to

Would you really?

Be able to shine a light through the cave that sits in my head
would you help me find my way out, passing the demons that hide on corners
would you help me make peace with my lost past - memories left dead
or would you turn and walk, away from the mourners

Would you really?

Sing to me in a way that makes my heart skip beats
dance with me as we find our way through this world of lurking beasts
break through the barriers that cause us to lose sleep
even as my voice stutters, would you take this leap

Would you really?

Let me give you my heart
its a bit torn and tattered - worn out through disuse but it still starts
or would you take the offering and rip it apart
leave me to collect all the scraps that sit on the ground like abstract art

Would you?

Thanks For Reading.
Peace & Love.
Kyle
