I sit and gaze
into the eyes
of the most
beautiful night
and my mind
starts to take flight,
I'm flying
so high
my heart races
to catch up.
The lonely night
sings to me,
a voice so soft and sweet
lost upon the drifty haze
of a perfect sultry breeze.
The soul of life
bleeding into skies of
deepest meaningful blue
splashed with
fragmented diamonds
of light
composing
the midnight tune.
I sit by her side,
shielded by a cloud
from eyes that may spy,
and I cast
the darkness aside
to share the
wonderful rainbow
that sits obscured
by its view.
In the sweetest curls,
the finest strands
of infinite night,
I find myself tied,
and I don’t mind.
The face of midnight smiles
as I look Into
her winsome eyes and
honey glazed lips,
lit by moonlight whispers,
welcoming mine home.
Take my hand
and we will glide
through the clouds.
We will soar
into the evermore
tasting the atmosphere,
true kisses in between
granting us air.
We let go for a second
and I’m falling for you
into the deep midnight blue
holding on tightly
to a dream.
Oh, lonely night.
You know I will
always love you.
