In moonlight symphony
I feel those shooting
stars fly across my heart,
like sprinkles of time
that we get to share
in sublime seconds.
And I catch them,
every one,
and I store them within.
A million wishes,
when I only wish for one.
A kiss under the midnight moon.
Feeling the hand
that holds me tight,
The love imparted
in mystical touches of light.
Pooling around me,
a halo of hope.
And for a moment I’m lifted high
above the clouds. I see the constellations
looking on in awe, that anyone
can soar from feeling their heart fluttering
a beating rhythm, like butterfly wings
kissing the air.
For I have love,
it is abundant within me.
I am bursting at the seams
forming new sunbeams
to shine upon you all.
But first we celebrate the moonlight
and the stars that ignite
our elevated hearts
to whole new skies.
And those souls that
draw me in
like waves rising majestically,
the moonlight gravity
of feelings
dawning over me.
They are like home,
a part of the story
that I’ve always loved to read,
for their heart feels like
the sea
and I’m drawn to those waves
where we can swim
so deeply
