Headlight Blinded

New worlds into which we grew
streets and avenues
trees lined the paths
like crowds watching a procession
all new places to find
taking in the night
in spite of the chill winds snappy bite
letting it dance in our minds
as it holds on tight
keeping us warm
as we explore the world
just out of sight

This is no grand adventure
no distant journey
but the destination is worthy
just a joyride into the unknown
an insight into how much we've grown
headlight blinded
like distant eyes
piercing with intense glows
and the delights, that the moonlight shows
on these streets, tree lined

The road twists and turns
it isn’t a simple straight line
it has dips and inclines
there are parts where the traffic flows
others where lights make it slow
the view changes in just a few heartbeats
city streets to green grass country seats
if I could, I'd travel forever
drift from place to place
with a heart by my side
that would also embrace
the way the world changes
with every second, every breath we taste

Thanks For Reading.
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
