Woodland

Walks in woodland, under canopy of green
streaming sunlight breaks through
lighting skin a lustrous sheen
an angel walks
amongst
the greenery
such perfect scenery
she sees me
and takes the breath I breathe
but we can never be

She walks in fields of emerald
with an air of mystery
her smile special, my mind unsettled
a scene from a dreamlike story
stands before me
lights, camera, action
a treasure, jewel or gem
of unrivalled attraction
I don’t want to wake
but I can’t stay in this state
I can’t let those feelings shake
but we can never be

She walks the concrete playgrounds
the city, she moves like a goddess
floating through, her beauty astounds
but we can never be, you see
she is a mystery to me
a fleeting moment
lost in history
a glance stolen by chance
In a distant land
by an unfamiliar sea
a fantasy of fractured dreams
different lives, mismatched extremes

And those thoughts can’t break
the chains
that shackle
the crackle of static
I’m struck
as the dreams unravel
she is like a picture book
lost in an attic
forever to be left at rest
for I am night, darkness strewn
she is daylight
I’m the moon
she is the sun, burning bright
and we can never be

Thanks For Reading.
Peace & Love
Kyle.
