Moth To The Flame

I was enticed

Like a moth to a flame

You beckoned twice

Asked my name

Our first meeting, brief, fleeting

But my heart was needing care

Not beating

just lay dead, unaware

beyond repair

I was drawn

Like a moth to a flame

I was beyond enchanted, had me in a daze

Like a magic spell had lit up your name

In fairy lights, fireworks setting the sky ablaze

My whole view shifted, the colour ran

The edges blurred out; I was drawn in

the fabric of the universe Cloaking me,

like a duvet warm and comforting

Like a moth to a flame

Not a candle flicker

But a burning sun

I was absorbed

By your eyes

An enticing light

Flaring up like a supernova

galaxy wide

A giant star of unimaginable size

Burning bright

Drawn in by your sunrise

Lured to you

like a traveller to the big city

I was roused by your bright lights

Luminescence pulling me in

I was moth to your flame, the fire dancing

needed to walk your streets

the neon signs entrancing

I called you Beautiful

And my heart started beating for you

Thanks For Reading

Peace & Love.

Kyle.
