Lone ember

Fire danced across reflective mirror,

twisting through the air,

leaping like a ballerina.

Moonlight shivered

over the deep waters

ripples, littered With confetti flowers,

creeping to the music

of nights sleepy hours.

A crescendo of explosions,

a memento in the sky.

Bass thudding through,

sparks illuminate eyes.

Embers flicker over the glassy sheen

of waters delicately rippling screen.

Pirouetting lights fire up the night,

engulfing us in awe and delight.

Whizz and bang the sounds exclaim,

proclaiming themselves to be the main

attraction,

Ignore the light show they scream,

our chorus of voices

will make you beam.

Fire and light. hearing the shouts,

put on a show

to the wonderment

of the crowds below.

The air filled with scents of delicacies.

Sweetened treats and savouries.

Flashing lights mingle

with dancing flame fingers.

The carnival sounds

join with the bangs and screeches,

as the crowds dissipate

and the embers evaporate.

Over the silvery lake

one lone last ember begins its decent,

like a fiery snowflake

over a mirror of ice.
