Sing to me,
I want to hear how hope sounds,
I want to feel the joy rush through my veins.
Lift the veil, let your voice unconceal
what lives in your heart
and reverberate through your bones.
I want to feel every tone,
every note alone,
I want to feel them build
an undercurrent rising to a crescendo.
I want to hear the room filled
with the hopeful momentum.
Sing to me
of valleys and mountains,
sing of lost lands, magical fountains,
where the sounds sprinkle
in chimes like glass bells.
I want to feel your voice envelop me,
hold me in its warm arms,
make me feel heat in my heart.
I want to feel
the beat of my heart play
with the melody of the song,
as the stones and flowers join the chorus,
singing in harmony just for us.
The insects join the buzz,
humming along
to the sounds of passion in voice.
Fire-filled words that warm the heart
as they slip from parted lips
and take to the air.
Sing to me
through honey-soaked vocal cords.
I wish to swim in the words,
flow along on the waves,
feel the sounds wash over me.
Let the creatures from the deep
join your symphony,
A coral orchestra,
seahorse trumpets
with whale song undertones,
dolphins leaping to create the beats,
and above all of this
your voice soars.
Gaining the waves of applause.
