Hey space boy,
you've got your head stuck
in the clouds again.
Space boy,
your thoughts
are floating today.
Flittering
between the planets,
fluttering like space butterflies.
Wispy star dust,
clogging up your eyes.
Space boy,
watching over
from way up high.
Silver moon light
shining
from your eyes.
You look out
on the people living lives,
wonder what it feels like.
Wispy star dust,
clogging up your eyes.
Hey space boy,
please know that
you are not alone.
The stars shine with you
and the moon
offers you a throne.
Space boy,
the earth invites you in
and will embrace
you as its own.
You are not a beast,
this place is your home.
Space boy don't cry
when old stars go to die,
smile and look back
on the brightness
that has shone out,
touching many souls.
Space boy don’t fear or doubt.
Your place is here,
even when the stars go out,
because in you there is a light.
Just wipe away the
wispy star dust
clogging up your eyes.
