As beautiful
as the sun glistening on the gentle
rippling waves touching the horizon.
Over open seas, the yellowy orange light
caresses the water
and beckons the night to dive in.
I could wade in your oceans forever.
Swim deep
in the depths of your beauty,
more enticing than any weather.
Perfect - absolutely.
As beautiful as any land,
as wondrous as the sky above.
I would love to be able to fly,
So I can float in your perfect love.
Like the images that seep
from a t-shirt in a downpour,
I want to be the ink that leaks
onto the canvas of soft skin.
The colours that caress
and blend with every crease,
every delicate piece
of silken flesh
onto which I pour,
I want to explore.
I pour myself into the cracks
I try to hide.
Seeping into any pore I can find,
We lay silent except for shallow breathing,
flush cheeks, hands teasing.
Pleasing, fingers leafing,
receiving, releasing and squeezing.
Cuddled tightly in a huddle,
body heat haze in the breeze
from open windows,
we snuggle,
and I think to myself
in those quiet seconds,
this could be heaven
and I thank whoever made this life,
because he made perfection,
your skin a magnet to my fingers.
