The star dust
mirrors us,
you and I,
as it swirls
through the night.
Always looking so close
but dancing so far apart
in different skies.
I hear your heart
in the rhythm of time
which ticks along
with every beat
of this clock of mine,
just waiting for the chime
which says that we are aligned,
and those words
will whisper to me.
The three
which would
be heavenly.
They say I keep my head
in the clouds
but I’d rather stay
up here and never
come down,
floating over
the southern coastline
and the northern towns.
Listening for those lines.
The three words that speak
so elegantly, so fine,
that it could be
the angels singing to me.
Like the
countryside
unfolds
I will roll on,
waiting for the words
that you ache to sing.
For I ache
to sing them too,
and two flames always
become one when
the candle is burned down,
So, I hold on to the song
I have sung for so long.
You are the one
and our three words
will merge into a world
where we belong.
And the stardust
mirrors us,
you and I.
I look into
the heart of the sky
and I see your eyes,
and the words
that you wish to say
sitting just behind.
I wish for them
to leave your lips
and embrace the sky
dancing together with mine
in the autumn rhapsody.
