Love drifts
oblivious,
yet I dance
on stardust
as it lights down
on me.
Love is delirious
and I’m unable
to control my feet,
the rhythm keeps
pulling us
like tides of a sea.
Love is delicious
It flutters in the belly
like popping
candy for the soul
and I feel full.
Love sits with
quirky angels
whist I move
at awkward
angles,
but love
sees not the weird
I wear as my skin.
It sees
the me
that leaps
around
within.
Love is transcendental
It is beyond elemental,
it’s on no timetable but
it ticks on eternal.
Love
spins the world
like a DJ
playing all
the right songs.
I stumble on
her dance floor,
wondering, should I?
But having no choice
as my feet move in time.
Gazing out for too long
like I’m on a secluded beach.
Love surfs across
the candyfloss clouds
that I keep my head within,
never noticing
the way she sometimes
glances shyly at me
and whispers a sweet
word on the wind.
Love lives
in the wind,
in the air
we breathe.
Love lives
in the cracked
clouds
where sunlight
pours in
and I bathe
in her light and believe.
Hoping some
of it will seep in.
Hoping she will play
me her song all night,
so I can dance
in her presence again.
