Shockwave

Words spoken in hushed silence heard through deaf ears

we laid down our worries and fears

lines written as we conversed

lives merged as the threads converged

you live in verse

in my private universe

I took a picture

a snapshot moment, as heart beats flicker

watched the perfect face, fantasies of loving embraces

turned into a word river

a waterfall of cascading thoughts flowing over

turning the covers, of a book written about lovers

You made me live in the moment

gave me a star on which to wish

set a fire in my heart like a flame licked oven ready dish

Felt a part inside pulsing like a shockwave

an electric current coursing through my chests empty cave

I felt my breathing slow

as ears only heard the story in flow

is it right to want to dance?

when the moon is low

is it right to want to glow?

when a smile is sometimes hard to show
