Say no to ChatGPT.
Art shouldn't come
from computer wizardry.
A soulless machine
can't see the delicate
intricacies,
or the moments
that you pull away
your coverings,
teasingly
baring your heart within.
A computer,
though powerful,
can never feel.
It won't smell the rain
or sense a storm a mile away.
It has never tasted pain.
It is just mimicry.
It has never suffered,
doesn't know the hurt,
that can lurk in the heart,
it only sees parts,
mere jigsaw pieces,
where we are the art.
Art shouldn't come
in zeroes and ones,
it's in the spectrum
of emotions that run,
threaded through
every single atom.
A computer can take words,
arrange them into verse,
It can take a concept
and use pictures to guide
but it doesn't have the universe
rushing inside.
It doesn’t imagine
the thrill of a space ride.
It can't feel the fear, the highs,
doesn't know the true feel
of looking in a lover’s eyes.
It is just taking our thoughts
and leaving the emotion to the side.
We were supposed
to be freed by computers.
To enjoy the finer things in life,
now it wants to
take away the finer things,
leaving us with only the grind,
working us to the bone,
fighting for our lives.
