THUNDER RUMBLES
Grey clouds grumble
embracing the sky,
as if they let go
it would fall to the earth.
A weary wanderer
stumbles through,
falls and dies.
The vultures circle to view.
Swooping down
to peck at dead eyes
ARMAGGEDON HAS ARRIVED.
"Yeah, great voice over,
but I think we need
to make it look bigger,
I'll supply some tanks, explosions.
Let's really cause a commotion
and wasn't there something
about seals and trumpets,
and horses ripping the sky?"
"Ooh crumpets,
with lashings of butter,
hmm sprinkle some cheese
on them as well, perfection"
Famine glazed over.
"War is right,
and more importantly
where is my piece?
I've concocted this
devastating disease,
and all you show
is one person
falling to his knees.
Please. This just won't do."
"Well, you see
the market has crashed.
Our budget has been slashed,
our funds are a little depleted.
Those pizzas don’t grow on trees,
so, we've had to downsize a tad"
"A TAD!
I had a whole scene
of people gasping
for breath,
millions upon millions
all falling to their death,
and now you’re telling me
that this lone fellow
is all the budget will allow"
"How is this going to grab hold
of the higher ups.
I'm nearing 6000 years old
it's about time I got a promotion.
That isn't going to happen
with this sloppy presentation"
"I'll get back to the drawing board"
"Woof"
"MEOW"
"Daisy! Stop it. You can't prey on Dog"
