Magic

I was swimming through

stardust waterfalls,

when I heard

her magic words fall

on bewitched ears.

betwixt reality

and a cosmic vortex.

With a wave and a twist

she had me transfixed.

Floating on sunbeams,

she had me feeling

like I was asleep,

in satin sheets,

having wonderful dreams,

only this was reality.

With a few

whispered words,

she had me

completely

under her control

like a puppy that runs

when you call.

She could make me feel

I was standing

on top of the world

but she could also

make it all

crumble and fall.

With just her wicked words

flowing from grimaced lips,

spike filled lips,

that once I'd kissed.

Slime spilled forth.

The sunken sun stayed down,

the moon didn’t want to stick around.

The stars could only blink in pain

and her words fell like acid rain.

Burning my face.

Ripping the skin

from this skeleton base

and now I'm here,

just bones and gristle.

magic can really make

you feel miserable.
