"There is nothing in the fridge again,
I'm starving"
Famine said,
stomach growling.
"We have food in the freezer,
some cold meats,
there is food a plenty
to keep you repleat."
Death said through gritted teeth.
"Yeah, but that is not what I crave,
where is the cake, the sweets,
the chocolates.
I WANT TREATS"
Famine screeched.
"Okay let's go shopping!"
TO ALDI THE HORSEPEOPLE GALLOPED
"Oh, I wanna go down the middle aisle.
I love all the weird stuff you can find.
Blows my mind."
War was already rushing towards
the centre of the store.
Famine raced through the shop,
pushing the trolley, wheels going crazy.
Throwing in every treat, every sweet,
every dessert, cake and baked sugary pastry
like a supermarket sweep contestant
running on the sugar high,
she pushed all other customers aside.
War had found a toy gun,
"Well, this is no fun,
foam bullets are not gonna
kill anyone,
unless I make a few adjustments.
Just flip some settings,
now it will really go off with a bang,
next person that buys one
of these will surely appreciate the changes "
Death perused the shelves,
but nothing really seemed
to suit his hollow shell,
nothing really lit his flame,
until he found a sweary board game,
"Ooh this will be fun,
we can play when the sun has gone."
To the checkout they strolled,
the horsepeople
loaded up on consumables,
and some other nice nacs,
things to brighten up their habitat.
The cashier scanned at super speed,
throwing items through
as if she held them for a second or two
they would explode.
"That'll be £78.99"
"Oh shit. did you bring any cash guys?
Guys..."
Death stood alone.
The other horsepeople had gone.
