Magic carpet

 

We watched

the stars and moon

together,

We saw

the vast space river,

and waded deep

in its lapping waters.

We wandered

under stardust skies,

lusted

after lovers’ highs.

 

We welcomed 

hope inside

Let her fill us 

with adventures.

We could travel, 

two hearts beside,

on a magic carpet ride.

Through distant sandstorms,

to the stars and beyond.

Feeling every breath 

rising within

Every tingle 

on sand speckled skin

Every rush a

s the world

fell away 

in a tailspin.

 

We soared 

over shipwreck debris,

on faraway seas,

dipping our toes 

in the water,

The waves kissing 

our feet.

We swept

through glacial landscapes,

watching

great ice cascades,

crashing to the waves

but the best place

was on the carpet 

with you,

Everything else

was just a background view.
