Sail me away

 

Sail me away

I'll steer us from those

dark clouds amassing

over the horizon.

I’ll sidestep the lightning,

for our hearts

hold much more

heat and passion within.

 

I'll take you wherever

your wishes lead.

We’ll float where fishes feed

So that you can witness the view,

a swarming underwater flowerbed

of so many magnificent colours

all swimming around

mesmerised by you.

 

Don't worry about

the strong undercurrents,

they won’t drag us off course.

We won’t get lost.

I’ll keep things steady

when those still waters

get choppy,

or when the air becomes foggy.

I'll always be ready

when storms are brewing,

I'll provide safety whenever

danger is looming

and it threatens

to drown our wills

in the sound of the heavens booming.

 

When my sails are struggling

in the fiercest winds

I’ll reel them in,

so we can just float,

coast to coast.

We can explore

these seven seas.

You be the captain,

I'll be the boat.

 

Sail me

wherever you want to be,

I'll change course

whenever you feel.

Sail me to the place you belong.

Sail me home,

wherever that may prove to be.

We can glide effortlessly

across the astral seas,

we can fly

beside the moon we see

and find our own

little slice of reality.
