The silent sigh of love

 

I look into your eyes

and I see myself smiling wide,

I can feel your breath

breathing life into me,

the silent sigh of love.

I hold tight

for if I let go,

I could just float away

and get lost in space.

 

In your eyes,

I am shimmering with delight.

The slick sheen coating

making me gleam in the sunlight,

and I know that in my eyes

you look as beautiful

as a stunning scene

lit by moonlight.

If the moon would

eclipse the sun

your halo of light

would burn onto my sight.

 

You look into my eyes

reflecting back the beauty I see.

The truth inside every memory.

A single moment frozen in history.

We can’t pull away,

the magic holds us in its sway,

the spell cast

like star dust sprinkled in the eyes,

and I see an angel arise

to place her lips on mine.

I close my eyes,

knowing the image will forever be

locked inside.
