Can I Call

Feel a connection every step taken
this place is ours it's a haven
a safe place our world in the stars
our land of hope free from scars
feel disconnected with the hurt of the underbelly strays
as I take my path beside this lone waterway.

Feel electricity through every blade of grass
a spark with every day that passes
in this our home
is it a crime to want this to continue?
this world somewhere in the universe
our land with which to roam

Can I call you home?
you make me feel safe and warm
kept the floods at bay during the fiercest storms
can I call you hope, like the ray of sunlight glinting on that peaceful bay?
can I call you love, like a delicate petal blowing in the breeze, you take me away?
can I call you truth, a beauty that is so lost on most that speak its name?
can I call you trust, the spark that lights the brightest flame?
can I call you?
can I call?
can I?

Can I call you home, a place where dreams are stored and Angels roam?
can I call you hope? a room unlocked
a treasure trove of glories once thought lost
can I call you love, the beating heart that guides the stars to move the heavens above?
can I call you truth, if the words you speak are lies then all is worthless and void?
can I call you trust, even when the world makes it hard to not be paranoid?
can I call you?
can I call?

For when I walk on this land, the green grass smell intoxicates
but without hope and love to share, it's just made obsolete
the cities and towns the fields of concrete silver steel and brick, it all makes me complete
but if I pound the lonely town to just the sounds of my own bare feet
then I feel something missing, a second heartbeat
to complete the rhythm that runs in my head
I need you to walk by my side helping the love to spread

Thanks for reading.
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
