The planet is sighing a sense of relief
The beasts walking on two feet
across her back, have taken pause, however brief
as a virus brings them to their knees
time, she thinks, for a spring clean
starting with the seas
As the waters show their clear blue depths
the crystal sheen that she expects
sea life swarms to long lost parts
ports and places that only their distant ancestors knew by heart
She sees that the air is becoming clean
breathable again, no longer tastes like a smokescreen
her lungs formerly full of soot and ashes
no longer tainted by toxic gases
the factories closed down, the air seldom stinks
its peaceful she thinks
flights grounded,
cars mounted on side-street pavements
where weeks before crowds of feet pounded
She can hear the songs of the birds,
the whistle of the wind, the floating words
tunes of the air, she listens a smile on her lips
before she only heard little snippets between the machines
that strip
she doesn't cry at her trees being destroyed
her work being ignored
her smiles crease with happiness and joy
for once the humans have had to ease their passion to
destroy
Thanks For Reading.
Peace & Love.
