Greetings from quarantine UK
panic stations, the nation falling
isolation, this is Leicester calling
panic stations the nations calling
isolation this is Leicester falling
panic stations the nations all in
except key workers keeping the country running
Panic, panic
panic buys the stores run dry
too much food for a single guy
fights in aisle five, another scrap over supply
whilst families starve on the scraps that they can acquire
pensioners caught in the crossfire
A queue circles the building
isolation, distancing, not a thing when you are panic buying
come on people pull together and share
I despair, you don’t need that much toilet paper to spare
Pandemic, pandemic
pandemic the population don’t seem to get it
this is war seen through microscope eyes
this is a battle, invisible, but the enemy has mobilised
those tanks are starting to get really close
and our army is not ready, we stand exposed
we need to stop this before the timebomb explodes
the troops called to fight against this enemy so deadly
still in training, the rains may be falling already
Virus, virus
virus infects the system; we didn't have an up to date scan
the programmers are doing all that they can
we have no anti-virus software
a reboot won’t work, the machine is becoming corrupt
we just need to wait, until the update is set up
End of old ways
we must change
unite by staying apart
keep this enemy at bay
starving it of hosts on which to prey
Keep your distance,
I have a vested interest, not going to lie
I'm on a list marked as high risk
You see, my immune system is a mess
and I don’t want to die
So, isolate for protection
we can emerge as a better nation
keep hands clean it's not rocket science
but it will save a lot of lives
and we will survive in triumph
Thanks For Reading.
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
