I saw lights, but no tunnel in sight
stars, but brighter than ours
these were like fluorescent lamps glaring
heart and soul baring
Sights
full of love
I saw infinity
the universe flowing in waves
I saw yesterday
today, tomorrow
all the possible futures to behold
histories untold
I saw through kaleidoscope eyes
so much insight
a gift I'd abused for so long, life
too much to write
a landscape of unimaginable delight
the images spilled over me
like a sea of ink, sinking into porous skin
tattooing my soul within
I heard music, sounds, distant voices
so many distinct noises
an alien choir
over electric guitar, a rock opera
a piano, a viola
a mash up of notes, tones, unearthly and unique
playing to a different beat
I heard waves
I dove deep, I felt raised
sounds rang, internal, eternal
ears previously deafened, came to life
like no song I'd ever heard, an audible inferno
forgot all my strife
There was no tunnel of light
no pathway to leave
I was given a reprieve
a chance to breathe
To see the beauty in the little things
a flower blooming, the flap of delicate wings
to hear the songs the air sings
the music of the universe as it spins
Feel the waves lapping over my skin
like the sweetest of kisses
soothing the blisters from fires of hell
to say hello to life instead of farewell
Thanks For Reading.
Peace & Love.
Kyle.
