Let us lie in the dark,
watching the majestic stars.
You can rest
your head against my chest,
hear my heart beating
a sound to contest
the breathless silence
of the
moonlit words
unexpressed.
Let us inhale
every atom,
every poetic particle
of the air.
Let it all swirl inside,
clearing our lungs
of all that brings fear.
Let's not speak.
No words.
Just take my hand
and I'll hold yours.
Let us lie in the dark,
gaze deep
into the vast
oceans of forever.
Let us not think,
of anything,
just life,
here for a blink,
let it all sink away.
Everything,
and focus on the energy,
just the stars, you and me.
Let us watch
as they dance,
chancing
to glance
into eyes,
that hold
universes inside.
Let's take hands,
just hold
each other’s hearts,
as we explore
the cosmos and more.
Star dust settles
like snow
upon the floor.
