Happiness fades,
snow thawing
in the sunlight,
of a winter day.
It all turns sludgy grey,
as clouds begin to cycle.
Circling like vultures.
Veiling the sky in splattered emulsion,
Thin strands of spiders webbing
blown around in a bluster
of monochromatic clusters.
My brain needs a spring clean
with a feather duster.
This monotonous noise,
a monotone voice.
Adding no colour
to the monochrome world.
No dazzling swirls,
no hints of passion
cascading fiery red.
No calm peaceful yellows
in this night filled head,
no sunshine orange
with summer bird song calls.
No blue waterfalls
spraying back.
Just dark and dreary
grey with deepening shades of black,
Happiness fades
like the vivid images in dreams.
Slowly drifting away into the air, It seems.
When you see in greyscale,
there is no joy nor song,
no sun,
just drizzle filled rain clouds that follow along.
The only sounds
are the voices in your head
shouting too loud, wishing you dead.
Happiness clouds over
lost in a forest on a storm filled night.
Electricity fries the eyes,
the scent of burnt ozone,
as the smoke of a struck tree fills the skies.
Just darkness with scary flashes of white.
A turgid rainfall,
all of my tears rush forward,
flooding the ground.
Forming an ocean all around.
Surrounded by dark clouds,
and thunderous sounds.
