In moonlight I'd sever
my heart
from my mind.
I'd climb mountains
born in oceans of love.
I'd follow the stars
if they would guide
to a fair countryside.
I'd supply the words
that speak of time,
because time would be
but a faded memory
poured from the echoes
of your words, roared
in a feeling sublime.
In moonlight I'd not listen
to doubts inside. I'd climb
from the bed shaped hideout,
as the storm clouds shout,
trying to drown out
The yells I hear inside
these oceans of night.
I'd let the flow
of those waves
wash away the debris
of another day.
Making the stars shine
brighter than you've ever seen.
More enticing than
any worn out dream
could ever be.
In moonlight I'd see your silhouette
dancing across the moons glowing side.
I'd watch, wide-eyed,
as I fall so far into the ground,
that I become
just a shadow at your feet.
I'd follow your every footstep,
every stride,
I'd lay,
a shadow by your side,
and I would look up at you
with stars in my eyes,
for your love alone
could fill my empty skies.
