Nuclear heart

Every muscle burns

like the fiery nuclear heart

of a sparkling bright star.

Sinew and tissue too,

aching pain,

acid rain withered skin

consuming you.

Feel so weak,

joints don't so much as creak

as shriek in agony,

like they have

been crushed and pressed.

Dare not speak,

each movement makes

my eyes leak.

Feel too weak

to get up and dressed.

Exertion,

brain inertia,

muscles ache

from this torture.

Feel my mind fleeing

my sanity, a deserter.

And through

the cloud of fuzziness

that stops me focusing,

I hear, loudly,

an echoed groaning.

like a chorus

of tone-deaf demons proudly

attempting to sing.

Destined to sit

in my own pain.

A throne of thorns.

shattered glass

encased brain.

I'll sleep away

some of the agony,

Then write to take

my attention away.
