In the singing stardust
I listen to the vibrant vibrations.
Altercations of cosmic waves,
crashing violently
over galactic seas.
In deep contemplation
I imagine
floating on a boat,
built of visions
of my history.
I look back…
Anticipation
at the new me
being born into this world.
Could I give him a message?
Something that would help him see?
Instead of being so scared,
could I teach him to see beauty?
Sensations
of constellations
as they combust.
Eruptions of galactic dust.
An orchestration of exploding atoms
echoes across grand space canyons.
In the powdery sky
I see myself wilted,
crying to a cloud on high.
Fear starts to take over
and in a single sigh
my mind starts to question why.
Why, it screams,
can't my thoughts all line up?
Why does yesterday feel
like fluid from an upturned cup
seeping out to bring bad dreams,
where beasts spill from the seams,
telling me I'm not enough.
Why does it hurt so much
just to smile
knowing that the world is corrupt?
Why can’t my heart reach out to touch?
When I have so much love to share,
but I'm so scared that I will be left alone,
So, I place myself there and build myself a home.
I wish upon the shooting stars,
comets from galaxies far from ours.
I whisper on the lilting song
of a winter night with the moon looking on.
In the cosmic rippling waves of time,
I speak to the shimmery vision of mine.
Open your eyes, you will see.
You are never alone
when the universe is your wide-open sea.
