When lips touch

When hearts

come together,

and lips touch

for the first time,

electricity rushes

Through

the brushing motion

of bristling leaves,

like lightning

in stormy weather.

It tingles through

every nerve ending,

sending a wave of pleasure

a surge of power,

over loves vast ocean.

When two souls combine,

heart, body and mind,

each atom collides.

Igniting sparks

which could

highlight the countryside.

In the particles that zip

through he threads we weave,

we live, we smile, we breathe

like stardust sprinkles

flowing far and wide.

When eyes connect

my body lurches

like I'm intoxicated,

legs swept away behind me,

as if I'm bounding on air.

My reflexes are off key,

stumbling into your arms,

a place of safety.

I gaze at your face,

a statue of beauty.

When lips part,

our lungs become one,

tongues long to stay

here until forever

has been and gone.

When our hearts

beat in time,

when the rhythm of yours

matches the rhythm of mine,

then the march

of the clocks inevitable chime

will be lost,

outshone by

the glowing hearts

that shine.
