Like a butterfly
in a rose garden
I'm beholden
to your beauty,
I'm in heaven
here laying
in the moonlight.
If a solitary
bad thought should arrive,
I know I’ll be held tight
by the still warm twilight.
Hearing
your long slow breath
filling the room.
Like swimming
in sun-bathed rivers,
I'm floating
on the love
you deliver.
Under the moons
cosmic light display
I lay, letting the waves
of light gently play.
Like the heat haze
of a summer day,
I want your words to linger.
As I gaze at the wonders
of sunbeams
flowing over
our interlocked
fingers.
Like a honeybee
drinking back
the nectar of a
summer glade story,
I'm buzzing
on the misty wisps
of fantasy
you tease for me.
I'll listen to you breathe,
knowing I will
never leave.
