Even angels
will look down
from their
silver lined
clouds above,
with eyes
of jealousy.
Demons
will think
only in
shades of love.
Monsters
will tread lightly,
carefully.
Ghosts
will dream
soundly,
underneath
their sheets,
softly rattling
their chains
with peace,
when they
see you,
swirling through
the room.
The moon
like liquid light
pours onto
sequin dress
draped
over the floor.
A flower in bloom
would look dull
in contrast,
A painting once vibrant,
would seem
dour and downcast.
So how. I ask.
Am I ever going to
let my eyes
glance at you?
Without the sun’s rays
burning my retinas,
distorting my gaze
How can I get
close to you?
When the heat you radiate,
burns so brightly
it will incinerate me too.
