Lost in space

Lost in space,

a million miles away.

When you speak,

her face is blank.

She is with the stars,

away across the milky way,

taking in the views

from that faraway place.

Her breath still exhales,

but her eyes never settle.

Her dress sways,

but her heart it strays.

with her thoughts,

floating the cosmic waves,

bounding through

the intergalactic glades.

And I will dream

my perfect dreams

of our lives

colliding like stars.

I will see her

walking through

my universe

and I'll breathe.

Never leave, just sway

on the breeze

of cosmic winds,

Dreaming of that girl

somewhere past mars.
